Flutter Flutter Butterfly

I know this isn't knitting related but I had to share some photos of these beautiful creatures.  I and my mum went to the butterfly exhibition at the Natural History Museum and had a lovely time amongst nature's beauties...
Isn't this the most spectacular moth you have ever seen.  I am not sure where it's from but is giant oth that was about the size of a large dinner plate!  Amazing...

I love the deep jewel blue of this one...very cool.

And finally... this one...although they are nothing to do with knitting, I do think we could take colours from these  delicate gifts and incorporate them into a project...it's always good to step back and allow nature to inspire us with colour.  There were many more to see but I just thought you might like to see just a small selection.  If you hurry you can still see them as the exhibition lasts until 13th September 2015.

Be inspired.
